UPDATE 26.09.08 - WEEKEND PREVIEW

There is one standout fixture this weekend in the Premiership, as Everton host Liverpool in the Merseyside derby on Saturday lunchtime. It is worth double points on Premier Pundits, so think before you tip!

At 3pm, Aston Villa will hope to put their midweek defeat to QPR behind them, at home to Sunderland. Fulham and West Ham meet at Craven Cottage, and both will be looking to put their cup defeats to Championship sides behind them. There are easy points for pundits as Manchester United host Bolton and Chelsea visit Stoke. Less predictable perhaps will be Middlesbrough v West Brom and Newcastle v Blackburn. The latter in particular is difficult to pick as Blackburn are not in form and surely something has to go right for Newcastle soon?!

The late game on Saturday will surely see Arsenal batter Hull at the Emirates. It's been a great start to the season for the new boys, but a footballing lesson is on the cards here. On Sunday, Portsmouth host Spurs at 1:30pm, with both teams focussed on the UEFA Cup next week this could be a stale affair. Finally, at 4pm, it's Wigan v Manchester City. City had started to believe their own hype until they were embarrassed by Brighton midweek. Meanwhile, Wigan are quietly coming into form and will fancy this, but which way will it go?
